So, today's challenge was to find a Pinterest photo and use as inspiration for a project. I found this picture via Maile Belles from Kimber McGray.

I've tried making the rolled flowers awhile back & gave up. While Christmas shopping I found Glubers from Cosma Cricket (basically a huge glue dot), now it is soooooo easy!

The first challenge for PTI's Make It Monday series is to use multiple sentiments on the same card. I needed to make a "man" birthday card - so I used this challenge to get it done (I hate making "man" cards).

I stamped most of the sentiments with versamark and the focal sentiment in Fresh Snow ink. To bring your eye to the main sentiment, I tied the ribbon by it.

Color Inspiration - Bright & Bold Challenge

When I saw this color combination for the Bright & Bold Challenge at Moxie Fab, I had to do this. It's outside my zone for colors - but I really like this combo.

With the boldness, I opted to focus on the pink and used PTI's Raspberry Fizz as the focal color and the orange as an accent.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Winter White

When I saw this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger of Winter Whitr, I knew exactly how I would make some Christmas Thank You Cards.

I was inspired by the texture of the cake, so I used Papertrey Inks Diamond Impression Plate for the background to mimic that.

I added a simple Sentiment Label using PTI's Signature Christmas and Peaceful Pointsettia stamp sets and a bow to " dress up" the card a bit.

Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

This month's challenge at Papertrey was to create a project using skills learned from a fellow stamper. My inspiration came from the amazing Betsy Veldman.

Betsy created a few cards for Moxie Fab Blog with a technique she called "Botanical Collage". She also used this technique for her Flower Garden Revisited Design Team Post. My card is based on her Flower Garden card.

I don't have the Flower Garden Stamp set, so I used 9 stamps sets from Papertrey that I have - supplies are listed at the bottom. I started with the background, which is stamped using Chai inkpad. I then built up the card with the other stamps until I liked what I had.

After finishing the stamping, I sprayed the cardstock with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz - Sparkle. I haven't invested in the Glimmer Mist that Betsy used and thought this was a fun alternative.

On the inside, I stamped my message and repeated the leaves & butterfly images from the front using Versamark Ink.

PTI Blog Hop: Brown Bag Challenge

This month's challenge at PTI is "to dress up, alter, change an ordinary brown lunch bag into a paper crafting work of art". I decorated a bag to be a gift bag. Here is a photo of my project:

The sun & clouds are from the Up, Up & Away collection with the clouds being die-cut from felt. The felt flowers were die-cut using Beautiful Blooms #1. The felt stem and leaf were hand cut and sewn. The butterfly is a Spellbinders die.

I'm going to make the verbage short; there's lot's to look at tonight!

Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

PTI's June Blog Hop Challenge is COLOR. My favorite color combination is:

HAWAIIN SHORES, BERRY SORBET, SIMPLY CHARTRUESE & RUSTIC CREAM

I created two cards with the same design, instead of using the same layout I flipped the second one to be portrait vs. landscape and changed a few elements.

I stamped the 3 flower images from Take Three: Summer in Simply Chartruese, Berry Sorbet & Hawaiin Shores on a strip of Rustic Cream Cardstock - one vertically, the other horizontally. These strips were attached to a strip of Berrry Sorbet Cardstock that was stitched along two sides. I stamped Polka Dot Basics II on Hawaiin Shores Cardstock with Vintage Cream Ink. On the Simply Chartruese Cardstock, I stamped a leaf image from Turning a New Leaf with Simply Chartruese Ink.

On the first card, I used a eyelet ribbon on both sides of the strip of flower images. The sentiment, " Celebrate Your Day" is from Signature Greetings.

On the second card, I used a strip of Rustic Cream that was die-cut with the Small Scallop Die and also stamped with Background Basics: Text Style using Chai Ink. The sentiment, "Happy Anniversary", is from Round and Round.

All products except for the eyelet ribbon & stitching are from PTI.

This month's PTI Blog Hop Challenge was to use buttons. I absolutely love their "button bits" stamp line. I decided to use on of my most favorite image - this leaf image.

I actually used 5 different stamp sets - Blooming Button Bits, Background Basics: Diamonds, Turning a New Leaf (pink blossoms), Background Basics: Text Style (behind the button) & Background Basics: Polka Dots II.

I really love their new felt - can't wait for more colors!

Poppy Seed Challenge

I meant to do Lisa Johnson's first Poppy Seed Challenge - but didn't. I "just had" to do the second - one of my favorite colors (Spring Moss) with buttons and polka dots. The top of the card was inspired by this card by Betsy Veldman. I switched a few things on the top and then added my own touch at the bottom.

All products are from PTI's except for a couple of the buttons.

Happy, Happy Birthday

I love the the color inspiration from A Creative Mint website. I absolutely adore the flowers in this picture - an awesome arrangement.

I based this card on the above photo (minus the limes). The card is for my sister-in-law and I think she will love the colors. All the products are from PTI with the exception of the Rhinestones (from Queen & Co. and I used Copic Markers to color them).

On the inside I did more of the dotted circles.

PTI/WCMD Challenge #4

The last challenge is Australia; using masking and/or dots. For the label, I created a mask using Nestabilities Label One. I used the distress sponges by Tim Holtz to rub Ocean Tides ink around the outer edge and then filled in the rest with Aqua Mist. Still using the mask, I stamped the images from PTI's Life Stamp set and sentiment from PTI's Damask Designs. I then stamped the dots around the label with PTI's Vintage Labels. I continued the dotted theme with the PTI's Polka Dot basics using Versamark on Berry Sorbet cardstock.

Before going, I have to thank Nichole for all the fabulous challenges and awesome prizes that can be won. I stepped out of my "box" and created some cards that I normally wouldn't have.

PTI-World Card Making Day/Challenge #3

The third challenge is India & using rhinestones, sequins & jewels. I did a quick search on "India designs" and found this outfit that made me think of PTI's Berry Sorbet, Ocean Tides and Summer Sunrise. I also had some awesome Prisma Jewels that worked perfectly for this.

PTI - World Card Making Day/Challenge #2

The second challenge was Mexico. Which make me think of the Mexican Tiles and PTI's Guide Lines I/II Stamp Sets. I used colors that made me think of Mexico with the Guide Lines - Ocean Tide, Summer Sunrise & Pure Poppy - the Black gave it the finishing touch that I wanted.

Other PTI's stamps sets used are Fancy Flourishes (in Versamark) and Background Basics: Text Style (in Vintage Cream).

PTI - World Card Making Day/Challenge #1

When I think of Japanese, I think of red, black & white. For my challenge card, I used the upper left image from Nichole's post.

I kept the card simple, as that makes me think of Japanese designs. All the stamps used are PTI's Life Stamp Set. One the inside of the card, I repeated the stamped image, just stamped it vertically. The edges of the cardstock were distressed using PTI's Tea Duo Inks (love these!).

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17

When I saw Dawn's latest color challenge, I knew I would play along. These colors are amazing together! I have 2 sisters with birthdays next week, so I decided to make them each a card for this challenge. I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

On the first card, I stamped polka dots in versamark for the background. I stitched the edges and then attached it to card. The flourishes were inspired by Dawn. I remembered one of her cards that she stamped Pure Poppy on the Kraft cardstock - love that look.

On the second card, I stamped the Polka Dots in Aqua Mist on the Kraft cardstock (it's subtle - just what I was looking for). I then stamped the flowers in Pure Poppy. The lines in between the flowers was stamped using one of the Fancy Flourishes stamps - I just inked up a portion of the stamp. The label was cut out using Nestabilites and then stamped using Vintage Labels. (I'm loving this stamp set by Papertrey).

September Papertrey Blog Hop

This is my first Papertrey Blog Hop. I was excited about the "green" challenge. My only problem was that I had too many ideas and not enough time.

I ended up using the cream paper used for "stuffing" our packages to cut out free-hand flowers that I stamped with Background Basics: Text Style and Peaceful Pointsetta in Sweet Blush. I then cut out similar free-hand flowers in Sweet Blush Cardstock. I cut out two Spellbinders Label One in different sizes. The smaller in Spring Moss, the larger out of the transparency sheet that the stamps are shipped on. I then stamped two Fancy Flourishes using Black Staz On onto the transparency and a Vintage Label in Ripe Avocado on the smaller label. The sentiment is from Damask Designs. On the background paper, I used Polka Dot Basics II in Versamark.

Raspberry Suite Challenge #16

I decided to take the plunge into the blogging world with Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Challenge #16. I used one of her suggestions and stamped a half sheet of paper using Papertrey's Guide Lines II stamp set. I incorporated the 4 colors in the challenge on this stamped sheet and then created the following 4 cards.

On the first card, "Heartfelt Thanks", is a simple yet elegant design. The leaves are from Prima that I bought individually at my LSS. I printed the sentiment and then cut it out using Spellbinders Label 4.

The second card, "you've been so kind" was inspired by Geny Cassady's birthday card for Nicole.

On the third card, "Just Because", I stamped "Polka Dots II" at the top of the card with Versamark and one of the "Guide Line II" images in Vintage Cream - which was inspired by Geny Cassady. I used Fiskars and EK Success Punches.

On the fourth card, "Thank You", I used the latest "Papertrey News, Rule of Three" in placing the flowers on the top portion of the card (I just love that flourish). The scalloped edge is from an EK Success punch - one of my new favorites.
